Mystery Scoop: Is this the 2014 Cadillac ATS, a Future Buick or Something Else?

Maybe you can help us out here. A Carscoop reader, who prefers to remain anonymous, nabbed these photos of an identical pair of camouflaged prototype sedans at a tollbooth in Ohio.

The photos were shot from a distance with a cell phone camera, so it’s difficult to tell the brand and make of the vehicles. Our unnamed reader told us that the front end looked like a Cadillac but the rest of the car reminded him of a Buick, and we’ll agree with him.

Union of Concerned Scientists Releases 2011 Hybrid Scorecard: Prius = Good, Touareg Hybrid = Bad

The Union of Concerned Scientist, a non-profit science advocacy group in the U.S., has released its second annual Hybrid Scorecard. The organisation criticised hybrid car manufacturers for not delivering on the technology’s promise, for placing performance above fuel efficiency and environmental benefit and burdening hybrids with features that put them out of the price range of average Americans.
A total of 34 hybrid vehicles from the 2011 to 2012 model year were tested for their fuel efficiency, environmental impact, value-for-money and their so-called “forced-feature premium”. The latter is features that don’t improve fuel efficiency but probably make the cars more appealing to money-conscious consumers.

Mercedes-Benz Tops Secret Shopper Study of U.S. Dealers, Lincoln Places Last in Luxury Segment

Mercedes-Benz dealers were number one for customer treatment in the US according to an independent study by survey company Pied Piper. The California-based company hired 3,524 “secret shoppers” and sent them to US dealerships in order to determine how their salesmen were performing in anything from explaining a car’s features to closing a deal.
This is the third year in a row that Mercedes-Benz, which looks set to top the sales charts this year in the luxury segment, has topped Pied Piper’s study.

2012 Lincoln Concept

Mercury plans to create a concept car C-segment for the year 2012
Mercury took a few cars Focus sedan and five-door hatchback from the Detroit Auto Show 2009 and C C-Max and Grand C-
Max minivans from the Frankfurt Auto Show. And one sister who will work on options is Lincoln Concept-C.
This is expected not only be a badge-bad job, but it really gets amazing results. Let us view Photos Car of the Lincoln Concept-C below:

2011 Lincoln MKZ

A hybridized Lincoln MKZ or a Lincoln-ized Ford Fusion hybrid—either would be an accurate description of the 2011 Lincoln MKZ hybrid. Indeed, if you know anything about Ford’s excellent Fusion hybrid (a 2010 10Best winner), very little about its new-for-’11 entry-luxury twin will present any surprises. The MKZ hybrid drives its front wheels only and is powered by the same combination of a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder and an electric motor, with a total system output of 191 hp. Likewise, it features the same CVT and achieves the same impressive EPA fuel-economy ratings of 41 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway.

The Lincoln’s dash mimics the Fusion’s nifty customizable instrument cluster, with its cool virtual plant growing leaves as a reward for economical driving—although the Lincoln version additionally sprouts up to five flowers. Each flower is progressively harder to cultivate, and they remain in the display until the fuel-economy monitor is reset or the car crashes into a VW New Beetle, at which point they will be transferred to the Beetle’s dash-mounted vase. Besides its distinct Lincoln styling, the MKZ hybrid comes standard with an array of luxury features including genuine wood and leather trim and Lincoln’s version of Sync (not the new MyLincoln Touch system, however).
